Holy mother of contussions! Like craig said, that hurts just to look at! I give it around 3 weeks I think. Anyone want to take bets on how long that will take to heal? JK

If it continues to spread a lot I would call the doc just to make sure there's not some lingering damage or anything.

3 Weeks? I'm thinking closer to 3 months! I bruised my thigh pretty good on a crash and it took well over a month for the bruise to clear and it wasn't nearly as bad as this. That sucker is deep!

My bad crash about 6 years ago was a similar contusion, but on my back (sorry, no pics). But anyway, the same thing happened. Basically, gravity took over and the bruise headed south toward my feet. Took several weeks to start fading as I recall. So if you've already had ultrasound and or CT scans, I don't think there is much cause for concern.
