I had Lasik several years ago and its the best thing in the world! But now I am super paranoid about my naked eyes. I always wear sunglasses and at night when I drive I wear clear wrap around shooting glasses.

+1 on the Wiley X. I have the SG-1's and use it for both airsoft and riding. Its fully sealed like goggles to prevent dust, debris (and bb's) from entering my eye. Originally developed for motorcycle riding but has been adopted by the military and is ANSI-rated.

I also use the ESS Ice 2.4 (both airsoft and riding) and you can have a prescription lens adapter put in while you are waiting for your Lasik surgery.

I was scared too but they do give you something to calm you down, Xanax I think. Absolutely no regrets. The whole laser process itself took less than 2 minutes per eye.

My sight on one eye is 20/20 and the other is 20/30. Genetics plays a part on that. I'd still take that than +675 that used to be my eyesight. Now I can wear sunglasses and goggles without the hassle of glasses.

One thing to remember though--as you get older, your eye muscles weaken and eventually you will need reading glasses to compensate for that. Lasik deals with the eye, not the eye muscles.

i too wear contacts and have found glasses almost obsolete in the protection of tearing up. i also dh, so i wear goggles as often as possible. the oakley racing jackets seem to be a nice pair that work or anyhting that covers your orbital socket. i happen to have some glasses for sale. $35vsome serfas glasses that fit very well and block wind.

These cost me $9
Shu I think you would have been fine adjusting if it wasn't for that pesky date that insisted on being in front of your bike the whole time.

I wear Oakley Monsterdogs they fit my head nice and tight. The only problem is they will bounce up and down a lot under bumpy trail conditions and I haven't tried them with goggles, but they seem to workout Ok.

Quick update:

I went with the ESS V12 goggles and love them so far. They came with 3 different lenses to swap out and a cool case. Can not wait to test them out riding.

Oakley L frame goggles are designed to be worn with a Full face helmet, and to be worn over your glasses. Best part is they dont fog up too bad, and they will run you about 40 bucks at any moto shop.
