I didnt read everypost, but looking at the hub and wheel, I woupld bet that chaning a spoke will be much like changing a spoke on a mavic wheel. not complicated at all

I have watched Frank and the Crank Brothers wrecking crew (test crew) try to destroy those rims for half a year here in Laguna. There are three different color rims, one is x-country, one all Mt, and a downhill rim. I think blue is XC. If you knew what the crew rode on those rims...well just say very strong rims with excellent riders on RFX's and Nomads.. The good folks at Garage Works have been busy building up wheels sets so locally we will have excellent tech support. That and Crank Brothers already has excellent support. If they didn't make my bike look like a road bike I would think about a set.

you're always the one talking about breaking a spoke on road trips and having easy "standard" parts to find.

Very correct, another reason not to run them. Again I will stress the fact that I want a manly looking bike. No goater weight weeney rig.
