Actually, Michelle's situation is one of gender identity and not one of sexuality. That's a very common misunderstanding, though.

It's certainly a difficult situation as far as racing goes, that's for sure. I know a transexual and she told me that when she started the transition from man to woman and went on estrogen that she lost a lot of her upper body strength. Those sort of things are things you don't even really think about, so it sort of makes things fuzzy as to competition and strength, etc.

Yeah, you're absolutely right...wrong terminology, but I think you agree with my point about the two situations.
