I'll be your dog Marshall.. the ladies always want to pet a cute dog

Plus I've got enough hair ... it's like I have a sweater vest on at all times, makes it kinda hard to stay cool in the summer.

I saw a small swarm of bees today, just off the trail in San Clemente-no fun since I was climbing.

Not bugs, we were lucky, and had a steady stream of Monarch Butterflys coming thru on our Chilao Ride on Sunday.

Default Heres Your Answer!!

ANAHEIM – Swarms of tiny insects are bugging Orange County residents.
Anaheim resident Julia Morton started noticing the insects a few weeks ago and said they look like "poofs of black smoke."
"As the sun starts going down, I'll just see swarms of the little bugs in the air and in palm trees," she said. "I've never seen anything swarm like this."
The swarms are likely gnats or non-biting, mosquito lookalikes enjoying the unusually warm spring weather, says Michael Hurst, director of communications for the Orange County Vector Control District.
"Those insects will breed all summer, but they pop in big numbers right now," Hearst said.
He said that the agency has been getting about two dozen calls a day for the past week, but will only check to make sure the swarms are not mosquitoes. Almost always, he said, they are non-threatening bugs such as crane flies (also called daddy long legs), midges and gnats.
"As long as they're not threatening humans, we just let them be," Hearst said. "Many are native species and we don't want to do anything to them that we don't have to do."
He said the insects develop, reproduce, feed and die faster during warm weather than in cold weather. Plus, he said recent rain has added standing bodies of water across the county that bugs such as midges use for breeding.
"When it gets warm, things happen fast," Hearst said.
Hearst said any of the water-breeding insects such as midges are most prevalent within a half-mile of standing water and usually swarm around dusk near lights. He said that the only thing people can do is try to eliminate standing bodies of water and wash the bugs off of walls and windows.
The recent warm weather is also prime time for other insects, said Nick Nisson, an entomologist for the Orange County Agricultural Commission. He said that people might also see more aphids feeding on plants, and also ladybugs and hover flies that prey on the aphids.
"Having these warm days in the springtime gets all the insects moving all at once," Nisson said.
