Duan'er - 29'er remixed

Default Im such a SS'ing monster I broke a spoke...

on my rear wheel yesterday. Well I didn't know that I broke it till this morning's ride with my buddy.

I was giving my buddy a break in on his new 29'er yesterday through Ladera Ridge, waterworks etc I distinctly remember hearing a "TINK" sound and thought it was some debris flying off and hitting my bike.

Fast forward to this morning and my buddy was riding behind me and noticed that my wheel had a wobble to it...I dismissed it as a tire being not mounted properly. Well we went through aliso today, rode coyote, climbed cholla and down lynx and only to notice at the end of all that that one of my rear spoke snapped. that's a first for me LOL I'm just glad it didn't have a catastrophic failure on the ride down lynx hehe

I'm gonna crack some champagne tonight and toast Foo's dearly departed spoke!

Hope your rim isn't too bad and spoke breaking doesn't turn into a regular thing for that wheel.

you funny guy...that's why i kill you last...(what movie?)

no i'm running 32-22 on the 29'er so it would be 32-20 on a 26'er

I hope I dont break more on that rim Carl...but then again it would be a good excuse to get new wheels

He is out of the country for a week so I would just roll down to The Path and pick one or two up. They are cheap and easy to install.

Wierd. I would pop spokes back in my 26" wheeled days but none so far with my 29'ers.
