Default Who is interested in a affordable socal Gravity Camp?

One day soon I would like to start a multi level gravity camp that is affordable and fun. I have many Ideas. With a little expert support I think I can get it going.
I have designed a Dial a drop ramp system that will make it easy for anyone to learn to do drops of any size. Ranging from 1 foot to 8 foot.
I think we have enough experienced locals do get something together.
Depending on where I end up working it could be supported by a manufacture and maybe a local shops. I have been thinking about this for around a year.
PM me and let me know if it sounds like something any of you would be interested in.

Lets get an Idea of what size class we would have to prepare for and see if we can get it together.
I will have to get welding on the ramp set. I will have to develop a method of teaching and bring in some pros. Pro riders are great but not all of them are great teacher. I have some home work to do.

You heard it here first.

You should be fine I will be working out the details when I find time.
There are legal matters that are involved. As long as accidents can happen people will make it necessary to have legal forms to fill out.

We have some great riders who might be interested in doing clinics.
I want to include basic bike maintenance. I want to promote safe bikes. Its not easy to learn on a clapped out bike. Troubled bikes cause distractions and accidents. Some great riders don't have very good bike maintenance habits.
With new products coming out all the time we all can learn something.

My email is jasonseamans@gmail.com the str email fills up fast.
Send me a email if interested or if you have digestions or ideas.

I am open minded.

Ok, I have a good excuse explaining why I'm up right now (16 hour time difference here - it's 9:25 pm), but you guys really should go to sleep!

I would definetly be interested in a DH clinic that teaches the fundamentals to an intermediate/expert rider with an emphasis on proper technique and railing turns. I suspect most riders can fly through the rock gardens and drops, but lose speed and time in the turns.

I have to research who would be the best teacher for each lesson.
Cornering, Free ride, Drops, Skinny s, Rock gardens, Trials, Picking lines , Body positioning, Strength Training, All levels of riders Entry level / first time in the dirt . Beg, Sportsman Intermediate expert. Semi pro.
Women specific classes. It would be great to turn it into a big clinic/demo event to have the obstacle's out there for you to test other manufactures bikes out on . Then you can compare them to yours and not have to ride a long to far.

It would be a great way to introduce people to thwe STR family.
I am sure there are people out there that want to get started mtn biking that have not been introduced to STR. If we can get technical mtn biking more excepted in ca maybe we can get some parks built. Look what happened to skat boarding. I see mini skate parks all over the place. In the 80s we where constantly getting kicked out of parking lots and back lot for skateboarding.

Biking is safer and keeps people out of trouble and healthy.
