Default San Diego is Blowing up!

I am impressed with the STR San Diego style love! How many STR Newbs have come aboard in the last few weeks? It seems like a ton! It is very cool!

Pacman, as the Offical Unoffical Mayor of STR down there you need to set up a ride where we can all get together and meet. We could probably get a good turnout with all of the newer people.

By the way, I know I live in Perris, but by default I consider myself an honorary member of your "chapter". Grew up down there and work there so I am always down with you guys! Keep representing!!

Nah. I believe I was the first SD member, but that doesn't make me mayor. There is only one STR Mayor and his name is Dino Brown.

I have no problem with helping to set up a San Diego ride. This thread could be where everyone casts their vote, if that's what everyone wants to do.

Daley is the newb ride, just don't hit it on a Daley Double day like I did.

Sounds good to me. But it does not need to be a Newbie ride in the sense that people are new to Mountain biking, I was thinking more just new to STR. However, if there are a few that are new to MTB altogether then we can surely make it a ride that they can enjoy also.

I'm down. I think something central would be nice. Daley(North County) got the 1st ride, 2nd could me more Central & 3rd could be down in Southbay

Maybe the Mission Trails,Sycamore,or LPQ ride.

I'm in also and I think a central location will make more sense, Sycamore, LPQ and Mission Trails will be my choices in that order.

Yeah but you even had two bikes with you...one for each lap. That was impressive for a newb.

Maybe that's why he switched bikes

And if so, just come out for the second lap when everyone's tired. Worked for me. It actually made me think I was in shape.

LPQ is a good place for a MTB noob, but any more than a dozen peeps and you're asking for trouble.
Same for Sycamore.
MTRP might work, but, in my experience, it's tough to put a loop together that everyone will enjoy. Matt might know better.
Daley's great, but it's a tough climb for someone new to the game.
Tri-canyons won't work.
Hmm...

I think we're staying local 4/12-4/13 (I know, plan it around dirt people, right? ). But, we aren't OC either!

If it's an open weekend and at Daley we'd go I know it isn't super exciting, but I've always enjoyed riding there.

There is a "newbie" ride scheduled on 4/13 ... it's kind of between the two counties.

I'm in for an STR San Diego meetup. Sounds like fun.

It would be nice to put faces with all of the names and posts I read here.

How about LPQ at the ProBuiltWheels location, setup something with the owner Rick Nunez to have a BBQ for after the ride.
If the crowd of riders gets to big just split up the group.
