Default Domain vs. Lyric

hey all- I'm thinking about getting a 6" coil fork for my beloved '06 heckler (currently running a pike). Of course my first choice is the RS Lyric, but it's out of my budget right now unless I find a good deal on a used one. Any opinions on the 160 mm U-turn version of the Domain, and how it compares to the Lyric? Differences I see are not quite as many adjustments, which I'm ok with, domain seems to be as adjustable as my pike, it's a little heavier (don't care) and has steel instead of aluminum stanchions (should I care about that?) Rock shox lists it as a freeride fork, as opposed to the lyric (all-mountain), i am not a freerider but I ride somewhat aggressively, some more techy stuff lately, and also I'm #220 with camelback. How does the Domain feel compared to the lyric & pike; does the spring ramp up faster on the domain? How is the small bump sensitivity? Also, there are deals to be had on the '07 Marz All-mountain 1 (predecessor of the 55) any opinions on that one?
Any opinions would be appreciated. Shop guys (thephat, 1x1clyde, etc.) feel free to chime in.
Thanks.

I have no experience with either of these coil models, but i can tell you that my Lyrik Solo Air is by far the best fork i've ever owned. I too was initially interested in a coil Lyrik, but I got a smoking deal on the Solo Air right here on STR, and i've found that it's every bit as plush as the two Marzocchi coil forks I've owned (it replaced my '03 Super T). Very stiff feeling too despite being so lightweight. I sometimes wish it had the U-Turn's travel adjust for climbing, but that's nothing that can't be overcome with a little body English (besides, i was already used to climbing with a tall fork). There's a lightly used Solo Air at a great price on EBay right now with a few hours to go:

Good luck with whatever you decide to get.
