Let's Ride
|
Just a quick heads-up, I’m sure you’re already aware of this potential hazard with kids riding bikes on the sidewalks.
I took these pictures of my 6 year old on his bike over the weekend to stress the importance of bike flags. They are inexpensive, simple to install and remove easy for rides on the trails. BTW this is a stock 4X4 truck. David

Not Really Here

A few years back I had an acquaintance of mine back over his own child in the driveway. Not something anyone wants to go through.

It's horrid to think that the ignorant (not all soccer moms are ignorant of course - but some definitely are...and they typically wear juicy couture sweatsuits) soccer moms in Suburbans think the car is safe..if I remember right there is a 30-40 foot blind spot behind the car that they can't even see if a little kid is there.

).At least the newer ones almost always come with back-up sensors - not saying they are safe enough to not look in your rear view mirror, but the blind spot at least screems at me now.I do try to make a habit of walking around my car before even getting into it though, it's just good practice. Like I said before ,the flag is a must purchase for our house.
