Unhappy Ouch! The seam in the chamois

of my Fox and Oakley shorts is creating kaos in my sensitive areas. Looks like the chamois is made up of two parts stitched together and it's working me over. Any suggestions on a baggy short with 1 piece chamois thats been good to you?
Thanks,
Greg

Are they sewn in? This place can remove old chamois and replace it. www.kucharik.com

I'm a big fan of bib shorts like roadie's wear; extremely comfortable, though pricey and flattering to only the uber fit cyclist. Otherwise, you might try Chamios Butt'R or Bodyglide to help alleviate chafing. Happy hunting.

Hoss are the BEST shorts for your bucks. Mark is a local bro and his product is top notch.

I just picked up some very comfy Bellweather shorts a couple weeks ago. The wife has some Zoics that she really likes (2 piece). I hear great things about the Hoss Ponderosa but never wore one. Good Luck

The chamois in the Hoss is one of my main complaints of the shorts....not to mention the velcro belt tension system.

Overall not a horrible product and the price is good but don't get them if you are looking for a high quality chamois.

I would look for a company that also makes high end road shorts, as they use the new one piece molded chamois that are waaayyy better than the crappy foam pads that most baggy short companies use. Pearl Izumi, Sugoi, Descente maybe.

Well, I do ride some saddles that leave most of my buds crying after trying and I'm no lightweight.

Bag Balm (made for cow's udders) works well, too. I dab a bit on the chamios before I put the shorts on. It's a bit gooey at first, but then it's absorbed by the chamois (and probably by the skin, too) and everyone's happy down in the nether region.

The best chamois(es?) I've used so far have been found in Pearl Izumi Ultrasensor shorts and Sugoi shorts, of which I don't remember the model name. Both of these are racer-boy shorts, but P.I. and Sugoi offer baggies, too.

I haven't found anything that works quite as well as racer-boy shorts. Just the same, when I'm wearing biking shorts, I make sure there's a bike nearby to explain the bad fashion sense.

I would suggest buying from a cycling company. Some companies (not mentioning names) have too may directions and have & are on a never-ending hunt for useless production managers for a reason. They wont pay them and they get what they get.

You can always go this way if nothing works:

Lots of companies go for the half ass approach, pick the one's that ride themselves and it will pay off...

C.K.

Bicycles are fun!

I had the same problem with Fox shorts. Ouch.

I buy the baggies and cut the chamois out of them. I use my regular spandex shorts under the baggies and it works just fine.
