Thanks to Tani and the good folks at the Path for the excellent service. Still have a couple of loaner parts but all is well.

I do not have a smooth pedal, so when I spin out on the flats the One 9 does not flex (bounce) like the steel frame Unit. At 23 lbs this bike is maybe 2 lbs lighter and it is faster than my Unit. I do not notice a difference in acceleration but a big difference once I get rolling…it seems to just roll easier. I will not comment on the lack of front suspension yet, except that I need to stay relaxed on the bike or it will beat you up. I need to slow down on rutted washboard trails as it just gets to be too much. It is just as quick or quicker it tight switchbacks. I more than easily cleaned every thing I used to on the Unit but I miss the big deap knobs on my Trailbears, hopefully we will get more aggressive 29 inch tire choices in the future. All in all I have to say that it is a much better bike than my Unit and am glad I made the switch to a 29 incher. If anyone wants to give her a try let me know and we can hook up for a test ride.
