Oh HECK YES! I forgot it was coming up so soon. I have been longing for this day! I can't wait to do 2-3 hour rides after work.

I wish we could just set them ahead next week, and then do away with DST altogether. Not that my opinion means anymore than anyone else's, but I am not a fan.

Ya. An excerpt from the link I posted:

On August 8, 2005, President George W. Bush signed the Energy Policy Act of 2005. This Act changed the time change dates for Daylight Saving Time in the U.S. Beginning in 2007, DST will begin on the second Sunday in March and end the first Sunday in November. The Secretary of Energy will report the impact of this change to Congress. Congress retains the right to resume the 2005 Daylight Saving Time schedule once the Department of Energy study is complete.

Not to get political here but I can't think of anything else positive that I'll remember Bush for.

Forget buying a light. Build your own. It's cheaper and brighter. Night riding is fun, especially when that is the only mid-week ride choice most of us have.

Just because it's stays light later doesn't mean you can't do night rides. It just means you have to find places where the bar stays open later for after the ride

And for me, DST kicks right about the time I'll get my warranty repaired light back, after a whopping one ride with it!

And I don't care. Post-work Oaks loops, here we come!

Default Daylight Saving Time 2008

MOD EDIT - Merged threads
I don't know of a day that is more welcomed by mountain bikers (at least those of us that work full-time) than the start of daylight savings!! Clocks change on Sunday!

For me, it means at least two extra rides a week; more if I can squeeze them in around my schedule.

Can't wait
