Back in the late 80s (before replacacble der. hangers), I had a Mt. Klein and snapped the rear derailleur hanger in a crash. I found a reputable shop, had a new der. hanger fabricated and welded onto the frame. A skilled welder can work wonders.

If your broken frame dates from anytime prior to 1995, contact me (esp. if the stickers say Cunningham, Steve Potts, Breeze, et al), i'll put it to good use!

Turner bought my broken 5-Spot frame. They will buy back any Turner frame for any reason no matter what shape it is in and give you $600 towards a new frame.

I did think of cutting the stumpy frame in half length ways and mounting it on the wall - that'd be pretty hard to do though!

A sawsall and right blade would make quick work of that frame.

The mfr might offer a crash replacement. I have crash replaced an Intense SL for a 5.5 and they gave me a pretty decent credit.

I also had an old Gary Fisher OCLV mtb frame that cracked at the seat stay. I gave the frame to a buddy who had Trek warrenty it. The frame was over 7 years old and Trek offered to replace it free of charge.

Hang 'em on the wall. I have all the forks I've ridden hung in the garage. A no-mane rigid one, a RS Indy XC, a lower end Manitou and a Manitou Mars will be joining them shortly as I plan on disassembling the old Rockhopper just because....that an some insane idea to make it a SS just to try my hand at building a bike! But that is down the road a bit probably.

Default Too bad...

Turner will send you a new one if you break it. He gives $600 for old frames that aren't broken.
