Default Canyon Acres Poll

Who out there is man enough or woman enough to climb Canyon Acres in one shot? I was out there today in Aliso Woods, climbed Cholla, Mathis, Meadows and Canyon but
I have yet to clean that horrible, mean, angry 1.3 miles without stopping. Just curious.

I can clean Canyon Acres. You should try climbing the speed way (big bend) across the street it makes CA feel easy.

Hats off to you OC Rider. Maybe I should try it before hitting Meadows, and Mathis and company. I would have fresher legs.

I've cleaned it!!! But it wasn't pretty!! It wouldn't be worth it if you didn't go down the Single Track Canyon Acres first.. Or Tolonics!! Wooo-hooo!!! and it sucks climbing it on a hot day!

yes, canyon acres is totally clean-able. its actually not that bad. took me a few attempts but now its not bad. in the summer, its our commute home from the office.... not a bad way to end the day.

big bend across the street is another story. its all manageable until the last kicker, and i've dabbed every time.

you gotta get your heart rate down on the flat spot and then push hard and try not to dab on the last few pitches. Its tottaly doable but not very easy..

Yikes! You all are in far better shape than me (either that or pure masocists)! I've heard about CA climb.
I've descended Big Bend a few times... the thought of climbing it is daunting. To those of you who attempt it, my hat is off to you!

I can clean it as well as cleaning Meadows and Mathis on a SS or in the "big ring".

Along with SS'ing, probably a contributing factor to my on going knee problems.

A few years back the group of guys I rode with and myself all started our rides at Aliso Woods by climbing Canyon Acres. Nothing like sending that heart rate from 60bpm straight to 180bpm... Back then it was way harder, the ruts zig zagging through the trail made it very hard to sit and spin, it made it very hard to clean. Its still hard today, but its pretty doable with a good spin.. Its pretty rutted right now, the lower section of CA has some nasty 1 foot cracks that open up even wider. Its quite challenging to be worried about falling in mini canyons, when you're heart rate is 185 and forward speed is 1mph. To all that can clean it, nice job, its my new goal, I don't like to be beaten down like I was yesterday. I want revenge. Damn you CA!

I climb it with my SS. I did say 'with' not ON.

I can make it about 1/3 of the way, then it's all walking.

Being a downhiller, I only know the one trail. So there are 2 trails with the same name?
