I live in Orange and just started working in Whittier. I used to commute to work when I was working in Hacienda Heights (turnbull canyon) and it was a good ride in. I was in Lancaster for a while and that is not commutable. I look forward to riding in again, glad I am closer to home for sure. I was riding a Kona paddywagon, great bike to commute on if anyone is looking to get something. Cheap, rides great, single speed simple. Good luck and be safe!

I just recently started riding my bike to work on Monday's and Fridays.. I telecommute (work from home) on Thrusdays and gas consumption has gone WAY down..

I recently moved closer to work.. 6.5 miles.. (I know.. its nothing) and am fortunate to have a gym at my office complex that has a locker room with shower/soap/towels.. its a pretty sweet setup at $20/month.. I pack my clothes and deodorant in a backpack along with my lunch and often times I have my laptop computer.. The pack gets a bit heavy at times but oh well.. what is a few extra lbs when you got a name like SKINNY?.. I leave my cycling gear in the locker to dry during the day and I take my bike with me into the office (just cant see leaving my carbon bike in the sun all day).. after work I change back into the cycling gear and head home.. its about a 1hr round trip.. I am also extremely fortunate to be able to ride the majority of my commute on Aliso Creek Trail which allows me to avoid traffic for all but a couple miles.

With time as tight as it is these days its good to get a couple extra miles in..
