new rider.. pasadena area

hey guys, im new to the boards, and new to MTBing for that matter. i used to do alot of flat landing and bmx when i was younger.. and havent ridden anything for about 6 years or so, probably more. anyways i just finished up my budget buildup not too long ago, any riders in pasadena? i hit my first trail this weekend, the Lower Arroyo Seco... there was a part i wanted to get to but i couldnt find the mouth to the trail... bummer. it was good times though, made me realize i have to get into some better cardio shape to be able to huff it up the trail. seems like a good crowd, everyone was helpful when i asked how to get places, hopefully i can get on some rides soon.

That's a nice first mountain bike. I know that others as well as I started mountain biking on POS entry-level hardtails. Personally I live in Long Beach but do drive a lot so maybe we'll catch a ride sometime.
