2008 VQ and CC finish photos

300+ photos later the gallery is up for everyone to review. I parked myself at the finish line for the event thinking people would like to see themselves crossing the finish line marked with their time. There are many other fun shots mixed into the bunch. Click on the gallery link below. There are a total of 4 pages and almost all of the photos are in order of finish time.

To Gene or Sherry: If you want to put the gallery link on the Warriors results page please go ahead so people that do not come on STR can have the chance to see the images.

Both galleries are outstanding. Jordans clearly catch the moment of the finish, but the KeepWhatHappens "Portraits" are great too, its had a few moments to sink in some seem more alive & proud, while others you can tell the tired has start to sink in. As said above great set of expressions...

Many thanks for taking the time for all the finish line photos. The only other photographer on the course was Don Jackson @ the Lower Holy Jim trailhead. Since I wasn't too excited about seeing a picture of myself walking my bike down that section, I was grateful that you took one of me crossing the finish line. You're awesome!

Those are some great photos. I love the one with the kid tucked under dad's shirt. You can totally see his eyes and nose. You rock for hanging out all day taking photos. It was pretty cold at the finish.

I was thinking the same thing! I know it's a scenic spot and all, but I was kinda bummed that he picked that spot!

Yes you have hit the nail on the head! While Jordan's shots are views into the rider's soul as they cross the finish line where they cannot hide their emotions, and are truly stunning in many instances. The "portraits" I shot vary from people who are 15 seconds after finishing and can barely stand (Geez I remember that feeling after the VQ) to people that have rested, cleaned up and are presentable. But they are all beautiful and I enjoyed photographing each and every person to document the end of their journey!

If you want a high res version just let me know the file number. You can right click save as any of them off the gallery anytime.
