After reading someones post about the Marzochhi Trade-In Program I decided to give them a call and see what it was all about.
I called and spoke with someone there and said I had an 03 Z1 FR that I wanted to trade in towards and AM1, how much credit will I get for my current fork, and how much will the AM1 cost? He replies, it doesnt matter what fork you trade in, it can be an EXR or a top of the line model, you get the same amount of credit. Well, I guess that is good if you have some P.O.S. fork that you want to get rid of, but in my case, this isn't beneficial because he said that with my trade in, I could get an AM1 for $465.00. My first response back to him was, "I could get it at Jenson for $440." and he immediately replied, "Well maybe you should do that than..." (in a snooty way). Maybe he gets a bunch of people saying that to him and he was fed up with it, I dunno. I just wanted to shed some light on the situation for those who may have heard of the program but didnt know how it worked exactly. |
