Default are all the performance bike places the same size?

hi, not sure where to post this, but i was wondering if all their stores were the same size?

i have seen the laguna location... and it was huge... just wondering if the other locations were the same? mainly, torrance, fountain valley, and tustin...

if not, which is better to go to? i saw threads about all of the individual locations, but not really on how they compared to each other... they are all the same distance basically...

Compared to Laguna, the Tustin store is really small. Fountain Valley used to be the Supergo location, it is a decent size if they still use 2 floors. Don't know anything about the Torrance store.

IIRC... Fountain Valley and Oceanside are probably the two biggest ones I have been to. The Ventura store and the one in Laguna Niguel are pretty good sized too. Torrance isn't that big in comparison, much like the Pasadena location.

Yes they all suck...oh, I didn't notice the word 'size'...I thought you asked if they were all the same.

I used to hate Supergo whey they were Supergo...I never knew how good I had it until they were gone and Perwhoreness took over. Sheesh they suck. Funny thing though, yesterday I called O'side Pee about some random tool (about the only thing they're good for) and it went to voicemail which still had the Supergo message promoting one of their killer Midnight Markdown Madness sales. Too funny.

It's quite sad. Sure Supergo wasn't totally my fav. place to shop. But what it's become now as performance stores really is something else.

Go to the Laguna Performance store. See all dozens of hooks in the rafters where they hang advertisement signs. Those used to all be frames like Turner, Intense etc.

I went to the Laguna Niguel one and was not impressed personally, although it may be useful for the weekend and/or entry level cyclist. It is a pretty big place, certainly. Good selection of tools and accessories. High end MBs are conspicuously absent, as are most high-end MB components.

My view is: support your Local (independent) Bike Shop!

If you want eye candy go to The Path... it's candy store for people like us.

Edit: Oops, looks like you've been there already. Perf Bike will be a disappointing trip after having been to The Path.

Jason, the store I took you to yesterday used to be a SuperGo, that's why it was so big. Like Pho'dUP said, it had frames hanging from the hooks overhead, not anymore. I bought my Tomac at SuperGo. They used to also carry Intense and Specialized. The Fountain Valley store also used to be Super Go.

The Torrance location was always Performance. For me, Performance is a place I buy tubes and maybe Gu if I don't have time to stop someplace else. Plus the mechanics are pretty cool and give me the little odds and ends like cable ends when I need to finish a build.
