As I was browsing JensonUSA's site today I noticed they have an affiliate program. Put a link or banner on the site and 5% of any sale that someone makes when going through the link goes back to this site.

So I'm thinking it's a cool way of paying for hosting and getting back a bit of what I paid for the stickers since we can support the site by just going through our link when buying stuff online.

BUT I really dont want to 'sell out' or make this into another mtbr with ads up the ying yang. So rest assured it's not gonna be a huge ad or anything. I'm thinking maybe at the bottom of the forums, or a whole seperate 'support str' page or something.

So ya, I dunno wether to do this or not and I'd like feedback from you guys. Thanks

Well if you're gonna do it Jenson is probably the best company to have an advertisement from. I do probably 90% of my purchases from Jenson and have nothing but good things to say about them. I don't see why it would be a problem, I vote go for it

Last time I checked, web hosting was not free. (unless you work at a webhosting company).Your time and effort going into this site is certainly not free. I say go for it.

Thanks for everyone who responded. I decided to go with a seperate 'support' page (coming soon) with the full banner and little logos towards the bottom of the forums.

Seems unintrusive enough to me, what do you think?

Never buy or have anything to do with SuperGo!!!!!! The mechanics dont do crap. I had to go their 3 times to get my headset fixed/adjusted and they couldnt do it right. I went to the The Bike Co once and they fixed it! Smaller bike shops are better.

Maybe the Jenson logo would be better if it was larger and on the front page too, I didn't even notice it until we talked today.

Yeah I agree with Alan on that George, could be a bit bigger. I really don't think people will be offended by a larger ad.

I agree, throw it towards the top, and larger. I honestly didnt see it until I scrolled down, ALL the way down. Nice work on the link affiliation though!

ya i dont like supergo much either. Id much rather go 2 my LBS. But when things go on sale at supergo u can get stuff realy cheap and thats what i was hoping to do but ended paying msrp.
