Bring your armor and as much travel as you can there!! I've seen Denmother and Roger's pics, as well as Allison's. Wow!!

If you make a trip up there make sure you check out Cold Springs and San Ysidro trails, both are great along with tunnels. Make sure you bring you bell, hikers will yell at you if you dont have one and the trails up there are in danger of getting shut down.

I heart SB. A couple of buds and I will be down for sure if you guys decide to make it a SB day. The best part about these shuttles (besides the trail themselves) is there is absolutely no hiking at all to get to the trail head. Drop off and charge.

I've only been there once, but I had a hell of a chunky time! You'll often hear the word chunky to describe Tunnel or Cold Springs. That place rocks!

tunnel is probably my favorite non lift dh trail in southern CA and it can be very unforgiving.
I'll show you around that trail the only caveat for me is the earlier the better. I try to get there no later than 8AM on saturdays. The earlier it seems the less hikers there are. Not sure how tough that would be for you coming from SD but if its doable let me know. I might be available next saturday for a shuttle run. Def. love tunnel. One of the most agressive trails in SoCal. If you go, bring all your travel and armor with you.

Oh dang..were you o.k. after that crash?
Look like the rock was right next to your face. 8 am is a way too early for me to ba able to make it.. My kids require entirely way too much prep time before I can leave da house

I don't know. It doesn't look all that exciting to me. Kinda reminds me of sections of the Fulli loop.
