Default Cytomax vs. Gatorade

I noticed that Cytomax is now available in the 32 oz. bottles, premixed (just like Gatorade and Powerade). I typically fill my Camelbak with Gatorade and a little water to dilute the contents, but this last weekend I opted for the Cytomax. Maybe it was all in my head, but I did feel better during the ride and after the ride after using Cytomax in my Camelbak. I did notice I wasnt as fatigued as I typically am after riding this same spot when I have Gatorade in my pack. Does Cytomax really contain more electrolytes and what not to make a noticeable difference over Gatorade?

Has anyone else noticed a difference in how their bodies respond to the two different types of drinks?

Cytomax has helped me with long hot rides. I would say that it's got more going on than Gatorade. It does, however, tear up my stomach at full strength.

I like to drink a Hansen's Energy before a big day. It seems to help with climbing performance.

A new drink I've been using in my arsenal is "Propel fitness water." It's made by Gatorade. It has 1/5 the calories and more vitamins and stuff... but less sodium. It's good if you don't constantly want to soak your teeth in sugar and/or you want to save some calories.

For all the skinny read the book The Performance Zone. Very insightful.

Ultra Fuel is potent stuff...100g carbohydrates per bottle!

I have tried both gatorade and cytomax and find that I do feel a lil better and stronger with cytomax (diluted). Also, what works really well Is a gu pack and drink it with some liquid 15 min before a major climb or trip. I used to get a pttful, tightness in my stomach and was because I ate a cliff bar before a ride and didn't finish digesting it. I asked a fitness professer and she said all the blood leaves your stomach therfore a person cannot effecientally digest food. Eat a light breakfest drink lots of liquid and you'll be good to go. Also, I find that a multi-vitamin in the morning before the ride really helps your body and give you an extra boost. However, I find that most endurance is psychological will power. Our body can take more of a beating than our minds.
