Short answer: No.

Essentially, you can go to a certain spot on that road up the canyon, but there is a gate that the public can't go past. So, basically your buddy would have to backtrack to get to you.

HOWEVER, he can drop an extra bottle in the aid station #1 drop bag and pick it up himself when he gets there.

El Rolo-

That is part of the closed area of the National Forest. No one except Official Race Volunteers will be allowed in. However, your friend can bring a bag (may I suggest a plastic bag) to the start line. Someone will be there to pick it up and bring it to aid station # 1.

Default If any one should see #75 along the way...

My studly wife, ocmtnbiker911rn, is doing the VQ and is number 75. In past years, I have been at the Aid Station at the bottom of the Motorway to help her transition for the next leg and give her encouragement. But since spectators are not allowed at Maple Springs this year, I cant be there for her. So, if you see a small, good looking, Japanese girl with #75 on her bike along the trail, can you please give her a "You can do it!" for me? Thanks!
