I didn't get the job...bad driving record, another reason for me not wanting to drive, I don't want anymore tickets.

I don't really need a car of my own, my girlfriend has one if I absolutely need one, and it can carry 5 bikes, so I can still do shuttle rides...er, I mean group rides

One of the main reasons I don't want one is that I don't want to pay registration, insurance, or have it tempt me to drive when I could easily ride a bike.

Car lite for you....means car heavy for all of your friends who have to drive you around.

I like to think that my current drive will be my last. Used to commute a few times a week and know I could easily do it more often, and I also do most of my local errands by bike. But also know that there is a big difference between that and being completely car-free. And then having the wife's car as a back-up plan is just outright cheating. Cheer's to you if you give it a go.

Likewise, I like to think my current truck is my last fossil-fuel based transport. I bought it new 14 years ago, and it now has 240K miles. I've lived in it for several summers, and it's seen me through hundreds of road trips. But when I'm in the city, I'll ride instead of drive wherever possible.

That's not a ticket, that's the slip they give you so you can pay your 5 dollar day use fee.
