I love racing in the rain! But I doubt it'll last through Saturday. Weather.com is showing only a 10% chain of rain on Saturday. Temps look mild at 63. The 4X track should be tight and tacky, er', refering only to track conditions, uh, and not...you feel me.

No need for your happiness to wash down the drain! Tonight I had the most fun I've had in a while being wet miserable and cold

Did a 28 mile ride tonight... the rain gear did it's job though. Rode from my house in a light rain, and it just kept getting heavier until we got to the top of La Tuna. Came back down the fire road and back on the road, but it had lightened up in the last five miles.

Then I got in a hot shower wearing all my riding gear!

Saturday is looking like it should clear out though...

Enjoy!

After seeing the "Earthed" premier last night, I was AMPED to go for a morning ride.

Of COURSE, it rained all night... trails here will be a mess right about now (plus they'll be "closed"). Damn.

Do the rangers close Aliso/Wood after a rain? Any decent trails in south OC that aren't affected by "closed" signs?

SJT is a river when it is raining. I think most of the soupy mud has drained/washed away, but there still is some.

Weather should be nice tomorrow, and all next week.

You have my condolences.

Life's too short (and too dear) to live anyplace where it snows!

LOL... I think life's too short to live in SoCal .

I'm loving it here... although it's a much different life style than Southern California.

I've held off on commenting like 5 times. Every single time you post it is about how much greater where you live is than here.

I'm really happy you like where you live, but can you try adding something to the conversation other than "it is better here than there"?

Clearly the vast majority (I'd say 99.8%) here on this site like So Cal.

I'm wearing a long sleeved Lopes/Oakley shirt I purchased for Tara, and a wife beater as a "base layer"

Anyone know if it rained hard in the Santa Ana's? Trying to get a training ride in before CC. If it got blasted, I guess I'm riding SJT.

I'd add that alot of the riding in Europe surpasses SoCal - only difference being that the weather is alot more friendly here so you can make more of it . Riding in the snow is actually really good fun too.

I rode the Fully Loop last night in the rain and mud, I dont even recall the last time I had power oversteer on a bike, awesome.

Andy - you're riding SJT because it threw it down here big time. Still some light rain now. Expect the mid section of the switchbacks to be muddy.
