i enjoyed the long climb up Blackstar and Main Divide to Motorway, but I have to choose San Juan Trail for it's technical level.

San Juan Trail gets my vote

I know some people who have hiked it. I doubt that it could be climbed very effectively.

Ha I'm almost embarrased to tell you, but I did HIKE Joplin. Took me 1 hour and 15minutes on a hotttt day.

Ive been down it once before and it took sayy 15-20minutes, so I thought it wouldnt be that bad. I dont know why I kept going but once I made it to the top I did not even want to look at that damn trail ever again so I went down Harding.

But my vote goes to the San Juan Trail. Its ALL singletrack and really challenges your switchback skills not just how good of shape you are in. Then once you make it up you have an awesome ride down!

San Juan is the perfect climb. it has an almost constant slope (not too easy but not too hard either) so you get in the groove and work on your technique. It is an awesome descent to.

Holy Jim can be really great, especially in the spring with flowers blooming. The switchbacks are all nice in both directions. SJT is great, too- definitely more technical. Blackstar to Motorway is always a butt kicker, so I go for that when I need the workout.
