Default Chiquita Ridge trails too wet?

hey all-
my plan for today was to go ride the Chiquita Ridge area near Coto. Does anyone know how much it rained there this morning? Scope out the trails? Too muddy or will it be ok? Today is my only day to ride this week... but I don't want to go if it's too muddy. thanks

everyone bailed out of the V-day ride down there for the most part due to rain.

yeah, shortly after I posted, I decided to forget about riding and went to the gym (24 hourfitness in aliso) instead.(even though the weathermen did say it was gonna clear up.) Good call- when i left the gym around noon, I could see over most of inland OC and there was still rain coming down in spots, what was cool though was through a break in the clouds I could see snow on the Santa Anas (harding ridge) the snow level looked to be -2500-3000 feet. D'oh I should have planned on riding trabuco or HJ today! oh well. I'll probably ride Chiquita with you guys on Sunday.

Default Chiquita Condition

A good litmus test re Chiquita condition is the first climb past the Coto Main Entrance (assuming you're riding from the Dove Canyon waterfall area). If the climb is soggy and you're spinning, then turn around because the rest of the area is too wet.

Drove that direction earlier and it looks like it's be too wet for a couple of days... but at least its just surface moisture, not too deep so it'll dry pretty quickly

Shadowy back there so it could be moist through Sunday, even with the projected wind and low humidity.

in Santa Ana it's clear as a bell now w/ winds blowing...should help to dry things out.
