Default My Girl's a hot girl, a RIOT girl (new bikey 4 me!!!!)

Well looks like i'm the second in as many days to post up some pics of a new Black Market RIOT.

Thanks to the good folks at The PATH for helping me finally get this baby built and get er' home.

Alot of craziness during the process but Brian, Tani and Sarah stood by and really went the extra mile...thanks again!!!

Most of the build was really a swap with components from a older bike so nothing too bling to speak of but I'm diggin her!!!

Running it 1x9 for now as will also use it as primary bike to tow my son. Also some of the swap may not be best build for true dj/urban but thats what the funds allowed for now

Anyway just thought i'd post up some pics and thank the path and my wife who convinced Santa that I was a good boy this year (albeit a bit late )

Here goes...

Think more of the pic angle although def a bit higher than normal...probably one spacer for now. Seeing that for the next year it's gonna see alot of use also towing the little guy (and my jacked up back) wanted it abit more upright fo now.

Nice bike, I really like mine. How did you get a derailleur on yours?

Blk Mrkt makes such awesome frames. I definitely recommend as well. I never really rode BMX, but a lot of people who have ridden tell me that they ride like Big BMX bikes. I think it just fits and feels good. As far as putting the der. on, they make the frames in both a horizontal dropout or a vertical dropout. Either way, you could put a Saint Compatible Hub back there and put the appropriate Saint R. Der. on to make it geares

Good times!

Black Market offers a derailleur hanger that allows you to install a derailleur on frames with horizontal dropouts. It's about $20.

Note that standard production Mobs and Riots with horizontal dropouts do not come with derailleur cable guides or ISCG tabs. You can normally only get those with the vertical dropouts. My Mob is not a standard production model. They mentioned in the sicklines Riot story that Black Market has some new projects in the works. This is one of them. One of these days I'll get some good pictures of the whole bike and do a write-up here.

The Riot only comes in Horizontal drops.

When i finally win the lottery I'm going to build a light, geared MOB for single track usage and keep my Riot SS for urban and DJ.

they make a derailler hanger 'add-on'. works well no issues. i think at one point you could order a mob in either vert or horizontal but i think they may have stopped or merely put it on hold. Decided to go riot to save some cabbage

trust me any cool factor gets knocked down abit when u see it pulling a trailer with 2 year old in it like my show at peters yesterday.

one of the reasons i'm running a brakes up front to make sure i got enough stopping power with added weight in back (no not for my fat arse) same for 1x9 for climbs
