Been there, done that, but with my garage. I was super lucky that I was basically just idling the engine, moving about 1mph, so all it did was "adjust" my racks slightly and put a nice tire print on the wall above the door.

Ever since then, if I'm carrying bikes on the roof I always leave my workstand set up just inside the garage door to keep me from driving in.
