i was up there yesterday, saturday morning. our ride didn't last too long, my buddy broke his frame (GT I-drive). so we left Big Bear like at 10 am. by 1 pm, he was the proud owner of a brand new Trek Fuel 80 (that bike is sweet!!) talk about taking care of a probelm real quick.

it was pretty much perfect riding weather, morning-wise up there. i plan to go up there this week on tuesday or wednesday.

if anyone would want to join me, let me know. i want to go up there early and do a long ride (30+ miles).

BTW, Pine Knot Campgrouds which are next to Snow Summit are really great. their number is: 877-444-6777

So do they have some good maps of the trails up there? I am very interested in going (I'll ride my Foes) and just don't know any trails up there besides the SS runs which are closed now. Anyone able to go up there on a Monday?

So are they weighing bikes? Mine comes in at about 36 lbs (just 1 lb over the limit). I don't know how much of a stickler they are being. Also, what trails are open? Do they still have westridge, fall line, open?

I've read they aren't actually weighing the bikes, just looking at them to see they aren't full on downhill bikes and you aren't wearing full armor and a full face. I may be wrong but the SS runs like Westridge, Log Chute etc are all closed. I believe Fall line is open though. Anyone who has been up there that can confirm which trails are open??? I wonder if my Weyless 67 would pass, doesn't have a dual crown and has 3 rings in the front
