Lapierres are super ghey French bikes.

The one bike I may get one day is the Devinci.....might do some research when i go to Canada next as to how I can get one back most easily. In particular, I like this one.....though many Canadians speak French but still..

Wouldn't the easiest way be to fly to Vancouver where you have your bike waiting to pick up at a local bike shop, continue on to Whistler or the Shore for a couple days of riding, box bike up and come back to the states? I've never once been asked about my bike.
But with the canadian $ being worth more than the US $, it may not be the deal that it once was...

I'll add Bionicon to the list. They've been around in Germany for a decade and really only became available and started to move here in the U.S. over the last two years, but mostly in the last six months and only in Southern California/Arizona. They're still not really available east of Arizona.

They have their technologies pretty well sewn up with world-wide patents, and have been licensing their air-adjustable travel patents to U.S. companies, and using those funds to develop their own bikes... one of which I ride. When I bought my bike in 2004, it was brought over from Europe for me.

Their Golden Willow has a horst-link rear, and it was only last year that they got an agreement with Specialized to be able to start moving them in the U.S. Incidentally the German engineer who designed the GW for Bionicon was subsequently snatched up by and now works for Specialized.

and perhaps my favorite ex-US bike (though can find from a couple small dealers) is the Nicolai. Would have loved to replace the RFX with a Nicolai FR but too much coin

I never understood why Chumba shaped the EVO that way, kinda doesn't make sense, IMO.
