that's right, 29er's are only good for riding. Other than that they totally suck arse.

you're just jealous because riding a bike with bigger wheels give you an advantage in certain conditions, unlike riding a bike without brakes or a freewheel.

No doubt. It's the best bike I've ever built up. For long rides and XC it felt perfectly balanced.

Just remember, OMR told me, 29" is like 2 less teeth on the rear cog. So a 32:20 would be like a 32:18 on a 26".

No, you need a bigger cog on a 29er because it'll be harder to turn the wheels over. I believe OMR uses a 21t, maybe a 22t on the back of his and he's a strong rider. Anyone that rides a 29er want to pipe in...DeeZee, J sims, Steepie, Rut, Huge?

I run a 34 ft and a 22 rear on the One9 You will want to puke at the top of Cholla but you do not spin out quite as fast..

I must be harder with longer legs. I run a 34:18 on my 26er SS and I can clean Meadows and Mathis. My short legs don't have to turn as hard, but my kness are starting to suffer a bit. I may go back to a 19t.

The standard 2:1 on a 26er is actually a 1.6:1 on a 29er. So for a 32 front ring you would use a 21 rear ring which would give you the same gearing as 32:18 on a 26er. For you foo it would probably be a 32:24.

That alone disqualifies you from comparison to most, even with geared bikes.
