That was my first thought! But my second was that declaring anything "of the year" in January is a little ballsy.

I heard on the radio 3" to 6" expected late Sat till mid Sun. Guess I'll need get my kayak stuff cleaned up and ready to go.

At least the news actually has something decent to report. Usually it's some poor schlub reporting next to some puddle trying to make it seem as if we should be building an ark.

You mean we're not supposed to be building an Ark????

Every time it so much as drizzles in So Cal the news turns into "STORM WATCH" with hourly updates.

I am just thankful we are starting to get some rains. It may keep us off the trails for a while but our Parks and Mountains do need it, last year was way too dry.

All the rain is making absolutely gorgeous and green out! Maybe this rain will hold off just long enough to get the XC race in tomorrow at Southridge! Those poor guys doing the 12 hours of Temecula are going to get nailed though!

What's with that Live Mega Doppler 7000 in HD. Got to be one of the stupidest names for the weather. I swear they probably get a semi everytime there's a sprinkle so they can see if the thing is working.

Anyway, I rather watch Jackie Johnson for her, a'hem "weather tips"
