Default Wide trunk carrier arms

The arms on my xport trunk carrier are a bit wide. I'm able to carry the horse using the xport top tube attachment but I can't carry the Marin due to the frame size (believe me, I've tried every positon, no pun intended). Does anyone know if Thule/Yakima or whatever brand makes a carrier with arms that are not so wide? If not, I guess I'm looking at a roof mounted or trailer attached option instead.

I run an enflite, sort of a roof rack mounted on your hatch.
Keeps the bike from swinging around the car and mounts by the fork and rear tire. Only works with a standerd QR front though.
They don't make it anymore, but draftmaster has a similar one.

This is a really cool idea. I've never seen this type of carrier before.

The best part is I can drive into parking garages without worry and my enflite removes in seconds. I don't know if they fit if you have a spoiler though.

Here's an ebay auction with better pictures:

No spoiler on my car. How stable is it in turns, at speed? I have one 30lb bike and another 25lb bike.

Just for info. I talked to a rep at ATOC who bought out DraftMasters. You are right that they don't sell it but they don't plan on phasing it out. Apparently when the company was purchased they were not given specs, drawings, or anything of that nature to reverse engineer the item. Also it's not their number one priority. Terrible shame.

I have no problem cornering. It doesn't shift at all. However mine hooks to the top edge of the hatch glass and at the bottom edge of the trunk. If you strap it to the bumper as they show it, there's more play and may shift around. But then again, the draftmaster looks like 12" wider than my enflite so should be more stable. The bikes won't move though. I carry (2) 26lb'ers. I'll try to get a pic of the enflite on my car.
