Default Mountain Biking the Death Road on Nightline Tonight

I just saw the teaser for this on Channel 7 for Nightline. http://abcnews.go.com/Travel/story?id=4120791&page=1
It isn't about hucking or anything but it should be interesting . It starts at 11:35 pm.

Yeah, I've seen this on Discovery... The death toll seems to indicate driving the road has the highest pucker factor.

Yikes! That's a little too much exposure for me. I'll pass.

This quote made my stomach turn just reading it. I don't want to even think about what it'd be like riding in a bus on this road.

------
I rode a bus along this road twice on a missions trip in 1997- VERY scary! You would look down over the edge and see mangled cars and buses down below who took a turn too fast, or feel your heart leap into your throat when part of the road had washed off and the bus driver would shout for everyone to "LEAN RIGHT" when a tire would slip over the edge. I can't imagine biking it!!!

I watched it. It was pretty cool. It looked like they were on 5" Konas.
They said one biker who died years ago just rode right off the edge of a 1,000 foot cliff.
They said he had been repeatedly complaining about his brakes leading up to it.

I missed the broadcast too and watched on the webcast. I think you're right, it seemed like a teaser. Maybe Youtube will have a video of it?
