Default Helmet Hero Help.

Just got my Helmet Hero and I think I have a dud.
I know a bunch of you have this helmet cam, did anyone have any problems making this thing work?
The button on the face is supposed to be the Mode/Power button, but its not responding. The button on top is supposed to start video, or take still shots, again nothing. Wasss up? It powers up, and the display shows 46, but thats it.
Looks like my sweet little wife who picked this up for me at Jensons might be going back tomorrow, unless someone has an idea.

Try different batteries. If that doesn't work, take it back.

Try turning the helmet around. Not only will you see better, your will be pushing the correct buttons too!

Sorry I had to do it.

I believe that Pakhia is an authority on those units, you might try PMing him. Or, call the Ontario JensonUSA store and ask for Jerod. Like I said, he's the go-to-guy on those cameras

I found that the included batteries are junk. Maybe get some better batteries before you make the trip??

It's worth a shot.

I just got a call from the Mrs. it does sound like a dud. We worked on everything to get it going and nothing worked

I love these things so it sucks to see a dud.

I *thought* I had a problem with mine. It turned out to be a bad memory adapter. MrsMtnbikerfred bought it online somewhere before Jenson had them, so I didn't think returning it was an option. 1 email to GoPro got this response:

Hi Fred,

Sorry you are having problems with the SD cards. Strange that it worked and now it does not.

Have you tried removing the batteries and then re-inserting to see if that sort of resets the device? Do this without the memory card in the camera. Try turning the device on after you put the card in.

If that does not work, then please try removing the batteries to reset the camera and THEN turn the camera on WITHOUT the memory card. With the camera on, try inserting the card and see if it works then.

Is there any chance the card got locked when it was inserted?

What operating system are you using, Windows or Mac?

Please let us know. We may need to have you send us the camera for review and possible replacement if we are unable to get it working for you.

Many thanks,

GoPro Support

Either way, I think you'll have a working camera before you know it.
