Default Need SS cranks

Hey guys I was running XTR 950 with a Jericho ring and the Jericho ring died. I don't have a lot of money right now so I was wondering if anyone had an old set of cranks that work well and would sell them for cheap. Hopefully with a 34 t or 32 t.

What are you doing with the old cranks?

Isn't that the one that you can just get a new ring for?

+1. Is there something wrong with the cranks? Or do you just want ss specific ones? You can just get a new ring for those, And maybe a compact bashring to take the place of your big ring.

The 950 style cranks use a removable spider. I'm not familiar with the Jerico chainring, but it's probably like the many other popular singlespeed chainrings for these cranks that do not use a spider, but connect directly to the crank arm. If he could find a 4 or 5 arm spider (either Shimano or aftermarket), then he can simply install a chainring. I think The Path has some spiders for those cranks.

BTW, typically, the 950 cranks came with a one-piece spider/big ring with a 4-bolt middle ring. For some reason, Shimano also offered them with a 5-arm spider with removable rings - these were difficult to find, but they were out there. A few companies, such as Adventure Components (AC) made a 5-arm spider, shown below. I am selling the complete setup with bottom bracket, MRP chain guide and nearly new 40-tooth chainring.

So the issue is that I dont have the spider for those cranks and buying a spider cost atleast 80 and the ring another 40-60 and that is for aftermarket.

Why don't you just buy a new chain ring and short chain ring bolts? That would easily fit your budget.

Naw, the spider should only be about $30 and the path has at least 6-7 on their wall. Rings can be anywhere from $20-40 unless you're getting XTR rings.

I've got a set of LX cranks that you can have for $20. Included would be a big ring and a BB.
They were on my fixie for about 3 hours. I needed 180mm.

See my ad here: Shimano LX 175mm cranks (almost new)
