I've seen those rims before on other trials bikes: is it a coincidence, or are they made for trials riding?

I cleaned the loop today in the second chain ring and second smallest in the rear today. Single speed is in my future. Just fun to build youre own bike. Not sure the standard gearing, but imagine the rear is 11/34. 42 up front I think

Not 42 up front, alot less. I'm not sure what the second ring is, an accomplishment for me any how.

on your bike that you rode yesterday? i think it's either a 32 or 34

11-12-14-16-18-21-24-28-32T, 9 Speed

the other one is this
11-13-15-17-20-23-26-30-34T, 9 Speed

I've been SS'ing for about 6 months and I can say without a doubt that truer words were never spoken!!!

I run a 32:20 and whenever I'm on a flat spinning the wheels like a hamster on Meth I always wish I was running an 18t. Then I hit a nasty climb and I'm wishing for a 22t.

Speaking of which, I picked up a very unneeded "upgrade" today in a 20t:

A SS fool and his money are soon parted.

Edit: Sorry for the pic size. I edited it down to 640x480 twice. Don't know what happened.

This is a purpose built "spec-class" trials bike.
"To compete the the Mod-stock class, the bike must have a functional derailler and 26" wheels". No need for a Cogset or shifters I guess. I love the rule that you can be disqualified for riding a bike deemed unsafe by the judges. I guess the tires with 2" sharpened spikes are a bad idea...

I'm sure i will be sore, the climb out of the damn really hurt, but I DID IT!I even did the bonus on the left side of the dam before the right side.I think I needs a single speed now.Gonna look into it soon.

It's alright. SS or not, you will always be the wind beneath my wings.
