Default New Helmet Cam!!

We did a bit of an early gift exchange today and I got this from my wife:

http://www.goprocamera.com/index4.htm

I have wanted a helmet cam for quite awhile. I have read good reviews on this one, so hopefully it will be up to the task.

Man I can't wait to start putting it to use.

Nice,
I got 1 of those at Interbike this year and it works pretty good...without the viewscreen its a little tough to set the correct angle but for the price you can't beat it!

This thread is useless without pics... er I mean, video!

Please post some "real world" video samples after you get a chance to use it.

For sure. I plan on taking some video at Daley tomorrow so I can start getting the hang of it. I actually braved going out and fighting the crowds just so I could get the 2 gig SD memory card. It didn't come with one and the wife didn't know it needed one.

You are hysterical I tell ya.

If and/or when I crash with that thing running, I will be the only one who sees the footage. Unless I can set up a "Pay Per View"...

Now that's just mean.

If I'm on my Haro, you're on your Niner and I get to pick the starting point, I may just have a chance.

Can you give us some feedback on your helmetcam once you use it?
My wife got me one for Christmas, its the VholdR but it won't arrive until January. After looking at yours, I think the video quality looked much better, and its half the price. Mine was like $380. I like the sleek look of the VholdR but thats a big price difference. Not to mention yours can take still shots?
Let me know how its working.
BTW the racks you sold me are working great.

Will do. I should've kept what I shot Sunday to show the video quality. The angle was way off and all I got footage of was the ground right in front of my tire. However--the quality was unreal. It was not pixelated at all, the contrast was spot on and the camera did very well in the sunlight to shade to sunlight transitions.

I'll post some up after Wednesday's ride.

Kudos! Nice setup! Looks like you don't have wires to hassle with. Post some vids once you get a chance to use it. I'm currently using the Archos setup but it only gets 420 TV lines. I'm always looking for something with higher resolution but still has the ease of use and setup that Archos has. Let us know how it works.

I happened to take a bit of helmet cam today at Mtn High.
