Tried the Hero out this weekend at Snow Summit, worked great!
Here is the youtube link:

Angle still a pain to nail down and for some reason the camera stopped after about 2 minutes...might be the cold on the wimpy stock batteries?
Once you get the angle of view, it should be perfect!

Thanks but I wish it would have got the whole run...not too bad for how inexpensive it is!

I happened to take a bit of helmet cam today at Mtn High.

Tech tip #1 When uploading video to computer then to YouTube...click "Mute"

Wow, comes with its own jet pack too! Needs one of anti-wind noise thingys, but still cool and cheap.

Hey all, just got a new VholdR, and was able to get some great footage with it while riding Mendenhall Ridge. Some of the best footage I got was from some killer crashes that I made and miraculously the camera was completely fine. The cam was a little pricey, but definitely worth it for the quality.

My wife got me one for Christmas, its the VholdR but it won't arrive until January. After looking at yours, I think the video quality looked much better, and its half the price. Mine was like $380. I like the sleek look of the VholdR but thats a big price difference. Not to mention yours can take still shots?
Let me know how its working.
BTW the racks you sold me are working great.
The newer version of the Digital Hero is improved for 2009. I have the original, but may upgrade to the new one. Wider angle lens is a big plus and 5 megapixel stills vs 3 megapixel on the older version. I emailed the digitalHero guys and asked if the higher resolution was only for stills or does it effect video quality also. They said the newer camera is much better video than the old and has much better low light video quality. For the $180 it cost it's a great set up for basic hassle free videos.

Pacman...as long as it's "bike" footage and not "bedroom" footage.

This camera is awesome. Here are some moto footage of a friend's brother riding up in tahoe and glen helen using this set-up. Also on the gopro site they have some mtb footage somewhere which highlights some mounting options you can use.
