This was the first weekend we met any of those peeps!!

Keith, Steppie, Scott, Lynn, Burner, Klutter, Jeff (singlespeed), Dell, Johnny & son, Jose, Tin, etc. etc. (I can't remember everyone!).

My first STR ride was the St Paddy's day/Broken Man Ride. I had a blast. Meet OMR, Rut, Wrecker, SlowSSer Maxwell and many more.

AHHH memories... Oh wait, I wasn't there. Love that area up there. Just wish I'd found STR earlier.

The Beeks Newbie Ride was not my first actual STR ride but it was close. The magnitude of that ride surprised me, but what surprised me more was the unselfishness of Rachael & Jeff S. who gave up their whole day to help at that time a newbie named Surlygal and Neccros. Tracys and Brian never gave up and were determined to make it to the top. As the cleanup finished everyone started going down the hill. On the way down we saw the 2 and I being new didnt know who they were, but thought to myself that they aint gonna make up because there was still aways to go and it was freaking HOT!!! It wasnt till I read the RR that they did make it and the story that went along with it. Cant forget Gene, Andy, and several others that were there to encourage the 2.

Im kind of surprised that this picture didnt make the Calendar but I guess no one including myself nominated it. I know that Tracy, Rachael, Brian and Jeff werent in this picture, but when I see it, I think of them.

I'm also surprised that no one submitted some of the photos like that. But, I wasn't on all of the rides, and I could only submit two

STR Invades S.A.R.T.

My first STR group ride was Mt. Pinos. Scott had been riding with you guys for a while, I was a little intimidated about riding with a big group and worried about holding people up. But he encouraged me to come along. You guys couldn't have been nicer! I met many wonderful people who remain very dear friends to this day including Dean, Shannon and Bruce. Oh yeah Can't forget George and I think that Jose dude was there too! Pinos July 30th

That Idylwild trip was a blast. My first of many STR camping trips.
