The contest ends Tuesday. Just wanted to remind folks of the rule for weighing in:
Final weigh-in is EXACTLY on April 1, by 8 p.m. PT You can either post on the thread or PM me with your final weight. Hope you all have done well. In the meantime, I'll be riding my a$$ off this weekend in hopes of reaching my goal. ![]()

Ahhh, still time to go to the vitamin shop, pick up some diuretics and energy pills, wrap your self in plastic and go on an intense three hour up hill ride. You should drop a good 10 to 15 lbs (albeit water mostly) before weigh in.

I'd say I was the big winner, but I guess now I'd be the smaller winner. But I suppose we'll have to wait til 8pm tomorrow to make it "official".
![]() All kidding aside I can't wait to see how everyone has done. Hope everyone did well.

Getting back on the bike.

Have not posted weight in a while, but a total of 10lbs was lost during this "event". Most of it came from walking, eating better (sometimes), and a little bit of riding Wood Canyon, Coyote to my boys Little League games. No where near what I wanted to lose, but I will say this thread got me headed in the right direction. Though I do not think I won, I am still gonna push Women's Ovarian & Gynecological Cancer support whenever, and wherever I can.
To the people who did this, congrats for every pound ![]()

Haha, man I'm all nervous and I dunno even know why. What is done is done. I've worked hard and even if I don't place I've accomplished A LOT (I'm at the fittest I have ever been/same size as in high school). Good luck to everyone and congratualtions, no matter the outcome!
![]() ODB, maybe a refresher of what the prizes are for what place (and for whom) would be great before we weigh-in so there's no ambiguity ![]() |

OK, so here are the prizes: The cash The Santa Cruz Chameleon frame (courtesy of Switchback; can't thank you enough for your generosity--you guys rock )The $50 Fully Bike Shop gift cert (again, huge thanks )10 bucks (courtesy of caveman, who wanted to spread the wealth around a bit) ![]() Since we have a two-tiered competition going here (those who put in cash, and those who didn't), here's how it works: The main thing to keep in mind is that unless you put in the 10 bones at the beginning of this whole deal, you are not eligible for the cash, no matter how well you've done. With that said ... If the first place winner is NOT in the cash comp, he or she gets the frame. If the first-place person IS in the cash comp, he or she chooses between the cash or the frame. (Here's where it gets kinda tricky: If that winner chooses the frame, the person IN THE CASH COMP with the next biggest percentage weight loss gets the greenbacks; if second place goes to someone NOT in the cash comp, that person gets the $50 gift cert.) Depending on how those prizes work out, the next two finishers get the $50 gift cert. or the 10 clams, respectively. I hope that explanation is clear enough. If I've overlooked something, please let me know. And just to reiterate, for weigh-ins tomorrow you can either post on the thread or PM me. Congrats in advance to the winners. You showed much more dedication than I did, though i'm not entirely displeased with my result. ![]()

I was pretty satisfied with my results. I got down to 191.6 last Tuesday and then it happened.

I'll post later. I'm riding Chilao today with no water or food. I'm taking the scale with me and weighing in right when I finish the ride, butt naked. I feel sorry for others near by.

Old man goin' downhill

This mornings weigh in was 287.5
No where NEAR what I was hopping for but the good news is I dropped 6" off my waist since Feb. I still have one of the biggest spares I have ever had but at least it is deflating. I do believe I need to re-evaluate when I start racing again. I was going to base it on weight, 245 - 250, but I believe I will base it on fitness level which will improve a lot faster then the weight will come off. There are a few hills around here and when I clear either one of them bottom to top I will come try and give them/you fools at Fontana some competition. ![]() ![]()
