02-01-08 WEIGHT: 152.2 lbs

I dunno if I quite trust the scale though since I've been sick all week (maybe its just dehydration) but I have been losing, my clothes are starting to fit a bit looser and I've gone down a hole on my belt! :-D

I'm pretty proud I've lost this much but the hardest times are to come! Thank goodness I have this challenge to keep me in check.

I've also found that keeping myself accountable through a blog, logging my food intake and caloric expenditure (exercise), has REEEEEALLY been helpful.

My 2008 STR Weight Loss Challenge Blog

Here's hoping I keep this up the next 2 months!

I did 620 somethin at a body weight of 181 in a uspf competition 15 years ago. A year and a half ago I did 505 for a set of 10 . benched 405 for three reps , no dead lift .I dont really have the cyclist body type.

Okay, this morning, after purging from every cavity on my body (some I didn't even know I had), shaving head to toe, exhaling and holding breath as I stood on the scale, I clocked-in at a svelte 207 lbs., 12% body fat and 54% water (I don't know how good or bad the 2nd and 3rd stats are but I thought I'd throw it out there regardless). That's only down 4.6 lbs. from the official way-in but I don't care, I like my direction. Energy has been on the up and I feel good. To me, that's all that matters.

Default 2/1 Weigh-in

A little late - 2/1 @ 199.5

After yesterday's Superbowl feast, I don't think I'll check for a few more days.

Yer on.
Question, are you challenging me to race you at the Rwanda ride? If not, we could bump it up and do a metric century, I will even plan out the route

Did you know K Elder or J Aronson (sp?)?
Those were a couple of the guys I trained with and both competed in USPF competition from '88 to '98.

Rwanda ride is what I had in mind. We will not have too much trouble beating my record (7:00 hours). But I am up for the challenge...

But i get to hold on to mine cuz it's true vintage. Everyone knows there wasn't color film back in the mid- to late '70s.

Anyone else having a REAL hard time right about now? I was doing GREAT (I'm down 13 lbs) until last night dinner (my mom cooked tritip and garlic mashed potatos, and gave me a box of mint milk chocolates which I've already ate ALL OF and I spent an extra 2 hours on the freeway in traffic) and today I've done nothing but sleep and eat (and eat VERY poorly)... ha.

Anyone else having a tough time, what are you doing to stay strong & healthy?

Motivation, please! (I know I know just think of the frame or the gift certificate, right?)

One day of weakness won't kill the diet. Just eat right for the rest of the week and make sure to exercise a bit more when you do have a moment of weakness. Just try and remember how good being thinner feels whenever your tempted to have something bad or a second helping.
