Rock it, rip it, shred it

I finally bit the bullet, and bought a new light. The Nite Rider Tri-Newt won, and I could not be happier with my choice! After a fellow employee bought his, I decided that it was worth checking out. I was a bit reserved however, due to the elements being LED's, and I do read, and did read all of the hype about it, but I was very pleased with my choice. I couldn't wait to go and try it out, so I did a nice loop near my house that I came up with this summer. I truely belive that it is brighter than their HID systems, however I do not think that it projects as far as the HID rivals. But, for $400 retail, it really blew my socks off! I know there was another post about this light, but I could not find it, so I apoligize if this is in the incorrect place! Just wanted to share my excitement! I will be busting night rides regularly from this moment forward!!!

Ooooooooo! Wireless.........man, I shouda looked into that. I wonder if I can upgrade to the wireless? That would come in handy since it will be spending most of it's time on my helmet........hmmmmmmmmm!!!!

i did fine with mine helmet mounted and no wireless. just kept the battery in the water bottle pocket on my pack, reach back and bam!
For hairier descents at night I'll just put it on high, throw it into the main pocket, and drop in. |

I have a TriNewt. It's nice and bright and it's light, but I still prefer my old HID Blowtorch even though it's way heavier and won't burn nearly as long.
It seems to be brighter and lights up the trail better. Just a personal preferance I guess.

Well, I am offically a light whore now. I decided to add the new MiNewt X2 Dual to the mix, so I am ready to ride anythime! I was able to buy all of these for basically the same price as buying a Nite Rider Moab, minus the burn time of course......but I never ride that long at night! I am going to be at the Loop next Thursday, so I will see some of you there!

That's a great light.
