Voluntary evacuation in Silverado as well. I just drove to Palm Springs and I saw 7 major accidents. It took me 2 1/2 hours to get here. I don't think the Palm Canyon ride is going to happen....

There was/is alot of flooding and standing water out here. And Whitewater was living up to it's name.

Wow if it isn't one disaster its another! I started work at 5 this morning and it pretty much rained on me all day. If I wasn't wet then I was soaked! I don't think I can remember a full day of rain in like a year or more. Hope everyone is safe and sound.

I think the Palm Canyon ride will be fine. There will be plenty of time for the water to come off the mountains. The trails should be in awesome shape. Especially the wash.

You're spot on. I've rode there the day after a heavy rain and it was the best I've ever seen it out there. Rode the entire wash like it was hardpack.

I'm in Ramona now, at my in-laws' house. Everything is fine here and...wait...what's that low rumbling sound??

Just kidding. I hope it doesn't turn into anything major here or in OC/LA areas. I think Mother Nature has put us in our place enough this year.

Thanks for the update. My wife's cousin has a custom home that he built in the hills, which just missed the fire. His other home almost burned in 2004(?). Love the area though, so I can understand why he hasn't moved away.

It's going to smell great in about a week, meantime we should all be patient and wait a few days to let it all soak in. Sunday might be good for bed work.

Bottom of a canyon is no place to be at a time like this, loosens up boulders and things. Not to mention flash flooding out in the High Desert. I sold off the BMX but can still build a wheel like no other.

Been raining pretty solid in Portola Hills for the last hour plus, and it's making me nervous. Hope everybody's OK out there tonight.

Willie - no more jokes about quakes, eh?!
