29er - Slime Tubes

Anyone have an idea if any local shops in OC area currently have 29er slime tubes in stock?? Need them ASAP for Palm Canyon....

yourself with a regular tube.

However I would do Stan's in tubes

I was thinking the same thing....since 29er slime tubes don't exist in OC. I do have Stans at home... So. How do you reccomend getting the Stans in the tube and how much should I put in....

[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3]I asume presta valves? There are tubes with[/SIZE][/FONT]
[SIZE=3][FONT=Times New Roman]removable valve cores. If you do not have them or do not want to look for them, then cut a tiny hole in the tube and inject the fluid in with a syringe (I use a small bottle). Two scoops, patch and that is it. [/FONT][/SIZE]

I called every store in OC...No luck! I am going the Stans route by injecting into 29er tube...

IMO: Stans in tubes does not work as well as Slime. If you use Baby Power in your tires Stans does not work well. I have been using Slime Light tubes with good results. The Path sometimes have them but I have always found them at Perforance in Laguna Hills.

I use the 26" tubes in my 29" tires.

...Do you pre-strech the tube and put baby powder in the tire when using 26 slime tubes?

One other thought was to get the tire liners, but those are heavy. I know they make some kevlar tire liners, but those are expensive...

What do you guys think?

The only removable cores on tubes I have found are Conti's...not easy to find...you can always put hole in tube put stans in then patch tube...or just use 26" Slime Light Tubes.

hey believe it not Jax has some tubes we can use. u can pull the valve and fill the shiiatt with Stans!!

No baby powered it keeps the latex from sealing. You can prestrench but not necessary. Blow the tube up a little more than a 29 inch tube when you change it. It also helps to start putting the tire on the opposite side of the stem. The stem will hold tube in the rim as you work your way around.

Are they 29er tubes? Which store? Irvine?

They normilly are 700 tubes and are very thin. I do not think Slime makes a wide 29 inch tube. Carefull the old Slime tubes are tanks...the Slime light are not bad 192grams.

I didnt say they was slimes!! they're reg 29er tubes that u can unscrew the valves to fill junk into em! ( i know that sounded dirty he he)

and thats Fullerton. not sure about Irvine. just call ehh!
