Used a Hurricane for a few years. Worked great until I dropped it.

I think that quite a few of the fork / shock pumps are from the same manufacturer and have just been relabeled. I have 4 shock pumps and they're all the same. I know Topeak has a few unique models. Lately I've been grabbing the Wrench Force and Fox just because they have been within arms reach.

I love my Topeak Pocket Shock DXG, the gauge is easy to read and the adjustable tube makes it easy to fit into different spaces and still see the gauge.

Was also looking at the Manitou brand as well. I'm not so keen on the Hurricane brand since that is exactly what I have for a tire pump and it just doesn't work that well.

+1

Great little shock pump. Easy to fit in a jersey pocket or Camelbak too.

do you have a marz fork? are they the ones with a different valve stem so you need to get an adaptor for that as well.

I have that Manipoo one and have no problems with it. Be careful on the one you get because they are 2 kinds. A low pressure usually used for front shocks and a high pressure for rear shocks.

+2. Just go buy one of these from your LBS. Path has 'em I know for sure.

The bleeder valve + Pressire Rite connector really works for eliminating pressure loss when you disconnect that pump.

Yes, it's a Marz fork but I am not aware of the different valve. Have to check this one out. Seems like the Topeak is the popular one with the STR folks here.

Your Marz fork should have come with the adaptor. I use it on my Topeak DXG. Here are three pics. The first with the DXG with adaptor installed, the second with adaptor next to the pump and the third is a closeup of the adaptor.

I love my Top Peak I've had a few months and it worked great and it's easy to use.

The Marz adapter you're talking about is this:
http://www.universalcycles.com/shopp...ils.php?id=485

Jensons carries them but they have been out of stock lately. I called Adrenaline cycles when I needed one and they had one for $10. They screw in to the standard schrader valve.

EDit:

Oh and neither of my forks or bikes have came with the Marz air adaptor or a shock pump.

Whatever brand you get, make sure they have good customer service. I had at least 2 break on me. Fox stopped working after 2 years. Topeak broke after only 2 months (3-4 uses), but they replaced it with no question asked.
