Default El Jefe

I rode with Endo on TG morning and got the urge to check this place out a little more seriously... so I tagged along on an STR ride at LPQ today and met Eddie. Eddie... you are the SD El Jefe incarnate. If you only knew... or perhaps you already do!

Nice to meet you all today. Look forward to more rides with you soon.

Is the real El Jefe still riding, or did he die in a human lawn dart accident?

Hey Jen, long time no see. How ya all doing down there. Yeah I seen Endo's post and I seen him yesterday as I was leaving a ride, he was coming into and I didn't have a chance to talk to him. We have a big ride going on next week down in your neck of the woods hope to ride with you and some of my old SD buds/budettes.

Nice riding with you Jen.

I think Eddie will be the instigator. I think I probably need it.

Hola, Crabbie Chicka! Que Pasa?

Long live the Human Lawn Dart!

He's safe and sound somewhere in So Cal but where exactly, no one really knows. I've heard he quit riding, has put on over a 100 lbs., lost what little hair he had, got married to an unemployed cross dressing transsexual who cares for 7 adopted kids and lives in a double wide with astro-turf and all somewhere deep in the 909 (no offense Mike).

You still in the fender bender IT business? I thought for sure you'd be living up in Oregon somewhere.

I heard he joined the alternative swinger life style and opened a bar in palm springs. No Joke.

I've heard the same thing in regards to the bar and moving to Palm Springs. I haven't heard about the "swinging alternative" lifestyle change though. If true, I'm not shocked nor surprised. I'm only amused and greatly entertained.

I still remember it like yesterday when Jiffy drove all the way from the OC to STP's Ave. P playground in the high desert, just to get pupilled by EssTee himself. The exchanges between them two were down right hillarious and paralled the grasshoper vs. the master scenario. Another time, he drove up to the Verdugo's with Pete (BrahMa) and rode with Dusty, OPP and I. He was on his first mtb bike, The Sugar XC. He had tons of sack but had very little skill and managed to fall all over the place. At one point, as Jiffy was tumbling down the hill, Pete had to literally get out of the way to avoid Jiffy's lawn darting. He drove back with Pete and I remember Pete telling me that he was worried about getting blood stains all over the inside of his truck. Frickin' classic!

I've got a couple stories about el jefe, like when riding a certain trail that starts with a v, going down bowling alley and not really braking, and ending in the TOP of trees below that section.

BTW, apparently he was brought into the 'lifestyle' by sgt. brown... just what I heard.
I remember they were rooming together and that was all. Are you implying they went broke back? If so, nothing wrong with that and more power to him/them. As usual, I'm confused!

whoa, I should erase my statement, I don't think s el jefe is that 'alternative', i meant the 'swinging' lifestyle as alternative. what ever floats your boat, it's all good with me.

let's keep this on track, where's that pic of El Jefe on SJT with his gnadsac when you need it....

Mentor to Jiffy, Es-Tee, playing in his playground...

and lastly, who can ever forget poor ol' hard workin' Mister Chin...

I ran into the one and only El Jefe at the Irvine Spectrum in mid-October (2007), naturally I was at the Yardhouse tipping back a cold one (a LARGE cold one!) He is back from the Palm Springs debacle, and living in a tent at the beach. (Just kidding about the tent!) Anyways, he is back in Orange County, and thinking about biking again. He was in good spirits, and had many amusing tales to tell (some things never change)

Whew... I need to check in here more often. I am 11,328 posts behind since the last time I was here.

So... funny El Jefe story... I was at the 24 Hour Race at Hurkey Creek a couple months ago (stupid me!), got my tent all set up, rode a lap, went to sleep. Wake up the next morning prep for lap, climb out of the tent and right next to me someone who totally resembles El Jefe.... I said "is your name Jeff?" And then When I said "El Jefe!" he got really shy and embarrassed. We chatted for a few minutes but then I had to go do my lap and we never finished catching up. He was supporting a friend at the race and mumbled something about injuries yada yada. I do recall him mentioning that "the bar thing didn't really work out". :-P
