well, i sold my cannondale jekyll. it was a good bike, but time for a change of pace (and it was a little to big for me). so after selling i decided to get the P.2 lookin like a HT trailbike (added the 8spd cassette, and the stuff to make it work, hyd. brakes, WTB seat, wtb mutano raptor and weirwolf tires and a 350mm seatpost. its been good riding it thus far. i actually ordered a 410mm Titec El Norte Pyro 'Scoper Seatpost today to give me a bit more extension, and im looking into a bit longer stem. some might say the p.2 isnt a proper trailbike, but it seems to work quite well i think. i actually beat my normal time to my local summit by 3 minutes on this, i dont know if its the hardtail awesomeness or if my computer is off, probably the computer, lol. so what do you guys think? heres some pics (old to new) parts added include the marz freeride QR20, hayes hub laced to mavf519, w00dman bill extreme 14mm solid axle laced to a sun MTX, salsa 32T front, ruben alcantara grips, computer, bont. h20 cage, hayes nine hyd. and some others....

Ryan, all of the versions look cool!
My Azonic HT has evolved much in the same manner - except the parts haven't really changed, just how I've used it. I've had it for almost 8 years now. It was a HT DH bike (despite having a DHer), it was a jump bike, and even an XC bike. Even though I had a 40 tooth chainring (and all along thinking it was a 36 or 3 , I loved doing XC rides on it. Like you experienced, I think I was faster on that than my XC bikes. After riding that bike on many rides with challenging climbs, I learned to ride it like a singlespeed (which I had never ridden). And since I was most always leaving it in one gear, I decided to build a singlespeed (2003) to shed some weight. But more importantly, I had a lot more fun riding that bike. It's heavy, but I can thrash it without concern. It's also been a buddy bike for many beginners who were just starting out. Over the past year, the bike has finally received it's first upgrages, and maybe I'll join you out at Fontana on the 4X course. It's still a 30+ pound bike, but it's still one of my favorites.

yeah its been super fun so far. i ordered a 75mm titech gold stem last night for a but more room (only 35mm more than whats on there). i rode it on the 4x track and almost died. i wasnt running slip-less (clipless) and the back end was getting buck-nutty. i wont ride it w/o clipless ever again. thanks for the replied guys! (lee, your bike was kind of my inspriation for this build, i remember seeing it the first time me you and dirty were playing on the 4x track, and yours looked like a really good multi purpose bike. by the way, the fork and from wheel are still working great!)
